if you leach out the tannins you could make flour....never tried it, sounds like a lot of work...

I remember tasting an acorn, as a child. They really looked like they should taste better than *that*...

You've taken some lovely photos of the acorns....wonderful colors. They do look tasty...too bad they're not....I also tasted them as a kid.
